Vineyards

There are no conventional vineyards at Natenadze Wine Cellar. Grapes are foraged from wild vines growing in forests and abandoned villages of Meskheti.

These vines thrive at elevations between 1,000 and 1,650 meters above sea levelin a harsh mountaineer climate shaped by volcanic basalt and limestone soils.

Everything here is wild and untouched:

  • No irrigation
  • No chemicals
  • No cultivation

Each vine grows as nature intended, resulting in extremely limited yields and wines of rare character. Annual production ranges from 500 to 6,000 bottles, depending on the grape variety and harvest conditions.

When tasting Meskhuri wine, one experiences not only unique aromas and flavors, but also the legends, history, and spirit of Meskheti itself.
