Disover Georgian Traditions In Our Wine Cellar
All Meskhuri wines are produced in qvevri, large clay vessels buried underground, using traditional Georgian techniques preserved for thousands of years.
Qvevri are made from natural clay containing limestone and trace elements such as gold, silver, and copper. This composition strengthens the vessel and acts as a natural antiseptic. Once buried, qvevri maintain a constant temperature of 13–15°C, allowing fermentation and aging to occur naturally without modern additives or technology.
Fermentation includes regular manual stirring, after which grape skins, seeds, and stems settle naturally. The wine clarifies itself through gravity and time, resulting in wines of purity, balance, and longevity.
Meskhuri wines are known for their low alcohol, vibrant acidity, elegance, and harmony, often described by sommeliers as among the most refined natural wines in the world.
